Get to Know Our Missionaries: The Edwardes Family, Trieste, Italy

As a church, it’s our privilege to partner with a church planting team in Trieste, Italy. Each family serves with Pioneers in Europe and are part of the Acts 29 church planting network.

Graham, Sarah, Sydney, and Enzo

We are from Sydney, Australia. We are both Pastor’s kids and met in high school. We will celebrate 15 years of marriage at the end of 2018! Before studying at Sydney Missionary and Bible College, Graham was a motorcycle instructor with HONDA and Sarah was a Social Worker. We loved our jobs! It was through joining a European prayer group at college that we felt the call to western Europe. Prayer is dangerous like that ;) Graham completed his Bachelor of Theology and Diploma of Preaching in 2012, and we moved to Trieste in 2013. We love this city and it’s people and have truly made a home here.

We are a very ordinary family - we love to ride bikes, swim in the ocean and hang out with friends. We want to tell others about our extra-ordinary God. As God wills it, our conviction is to continue in the long-term task of making Jesus known to Italians, with the prayer to gather them together as a healthy local church that plants new churches. Living and working cross-culturally continues to be a huge adventure with Jesus and stretches our faith every single day.
