REDEMPTION INSTITUTE

  • Redemption Institute exists for the Glory of God and joy of all peoples as we seek to allow our vision of the good life to come from the drama of redemption (Biblical Theology), the diet of doctrine (Systematic Theology), and soul-shaping habits (Spiritual Formation). Ultimately, “The true end of theology is not a systematic textbook but grown-up children of God” (Vanhoozer). That is our vision; mature disciples.

What is the redemption institute?

  • The goal of Redemption Institute is to make disciples. It is not enough that people are simply coming to church on Sundays. The goal is to form little Christs as CS Lewis has said, “The Church exists for nothing else but to draw men into Christ, to make them little Christs. If they are not doing that, all the cathedrals, clergy, missions, sermons, even the Bible itself, are simply a waste of time. God became Man for no other purpose.” Theology can be a scary word for many people in the church but each and every one of us are theologians, and our understanding of theology/doctrine/formation has the potential to grow us up as followers of Christ. Redemption Institute's goal is making disciples and this will happen as we re-envision the "good life" through: Redemption Institute Courses, Theology on the Ground, The Chopping Block, and Men's and Women's Ministry.

What is the goal of the Redemption Institute?

  • Theology on the Ground will be monthly events during the fall and spring semesters, where we engage one another in hot cultural topics and seek to understand how crucial our theology is to engage these pressing issues.

In these monthly events, there will be lively discussions led by a moderator and panel as we engage one another (open forum/audience participation) on these tough cultural topics. We believe that theology matters and actually equips us to speak to issues of race, abortion, politics, the sexual revolution, gender, etc.

If the Church does not understand how to engage culture, we've lost an area of witness and are not living to our full potential as God's colony of heaven amidst this country of death. Theology on the Ground will help equip God's people with a Christian Worldview as we engage this culture devoid of God.

  • Redemption Parker Men’s Ministry exists for men to enjoy Jesus by doing life together. We long to see imitation to Christ and to one another, a bearing of one another’s burdens, a hunger for rich theology, and ultimately to see Christ formed in one another. Men living out the Law of Christ (Gal. 6.2) is our mission.
