WOMEN’S MINISTRY

Vision Statement

Redemption Parker Women’s Ministry exists so that women in Parker might enjoy Jesus and make disciples. We pursue this vision through both large group gatherings for fellowship and inviting new friends, as well as through in-depth Bible studies and CORE discipleship groups. Our desire is to be a source of encouragement, joy, and strength to the women of RP and our neighbors throughout Parker.

Spring & SUMMER 2024

STARTING May 28 | EVERY TUESDAY 7-9 pM

Our summer evening women's group will be held every Tuesday for 10 sessions starting on May 28. Megan Brick and Cassie Call will be leading this group for wives healing after sexual betrayal.

This will be a 10-week discipleship group as we go through Jesus and Your Unwanted Journey, a Christ-centered, Scripture-fueled guide to help wives draw near to Christ in response to their husbands’ sexual infidelity (this includes viewing pornography, having an affair, or any other sexual betrayal). This is a discipleship process for wives to honestly face, assess, and discern their marriage situation and walk toward personal healing, hope, and transformation through Christ.

This group will be a confidential and safe setting for women to process their pain while staying focused on Jesus and immersed in the Word of God. Megan and Cassie have both worked through this study and are humbled to walk with other women through healing after betrayal, in the pain and challenges, and in the hope found in Christ alone.

It is open to all RP women, as well as friends and community members who would benefit.

You can learn more about the materials at this link, as well as download a free copy of the Participant’s Guide

There is no cost for this group. Childcare will not be provided.

WOMEN'S BIBLE TEACHING COHORT

The Bible Teaching Cohort will employ the resources and curriculum of Simeon Trust. The Cohort will go through the First Principles online course for women, which includes 8 lessons. Each participant will view the lesson at home, complete the study guide and teaching preparation worksheet at home, and come prepared to share her work with the rest of the Cohort at meetings held twice per month for four months. The amount of time required at home should be less than two hours per two weeks, including the video teaching and worksheet completion.

Women who have a hunger to study God’s Word for the purpose of teaching it are encouraged to apply. It’s not necessary to have a venue for teaching at this time, only a desire. Know that while the homework will not be very time consuming, it will be uncomfortable, as—unlike many settings where we study the Word together—“right answers” won’t be provided and we won’t be using commentaries and study Bible notes. We will be growing in our ability to study Scripture, ask good questions, go through a process of self-discovery, and vulnerably share our work with one another. We’ll be prioritizing progress over perfection!

Applications are no longer being accepted. If you are interested and didn’t get a chance to apply, be on the lookout for future cohorts.

WOMEN'S RETREATS

We'd love to have you join us each summer for our women's retreats! We alternate between attending the Gospel Coalition Women's Conference on even years and hosting our own in-house retreat in the mountains on off years.

This June 20-22, 2024 we are heading to Indianapolis for TGCW’s Behold & Believe and we'd love to have you join us! We have a block of hotel rooms already reserved. Please register for the conference and purchase your own plane ticket and let us know that you're coming, so we can include you in one of the hotel rooms. Financial assistance is available for this conference, so please let us know if that is a need for you. We want everyone who wants to go, to be able to go! Reach out to Jen Oshman with any questions or to reserve your hotel spot.

In 2025, please keep an eye out for our retreat plans, which have not yet been made. Our goal is to find a location in the Colorado mountains where we can all gather for tons of fellowship and down time to build our friendships. We will eat, hike, laugh, play games, and enjoy the creation around us. We'd love to have you there. Again, please reach out to Jen Oshman with any questions.
