LOCAL MINISTRY PARTNERS

At Redemption Parker we’re privileged to be able to partner with several local ministries that serve our city.

The way we primarily pursue serving through our local ministry partners are through our Gospel Communities. Each Gospel community seeks to serve one of these ministries together on a regular basis. We invite you to learn more about each one of our partners and find ways to serve alongside them individually, as a family, and with your Gospel Community.

Care Portal

https://www.careportal.org

CarePortal creates connections within the Circles of Care around the isolated child. Bringing together the family, church and community to create a holistic, healthy approach to caring for kids. Because every child matters.

CARE FOR EVERY CHILD

Whether you simply want to keep one child out of foster care, help one family in crisis stay together or rally your community, CarePortal connects you.

For more information about how you or your Gospel Community can get involved, contact Julie Stephens

Safe Families

https://safe-families.org

Safe Families is a family preservation movement motivated by radical hospitality, disruptive generosity, and intentional compassion to keep children safe and families together. We bring church and community together by mobilizing an army of volunteers to advocate for vulnerable children and socially isolated families. Our goal is to grow a national movement of change agents passionate about protecting children and preserving families in communities across the nation and the world.

Joshua Station

Transformational housing for families rebuilding from homelessness

Joshua Station seeks God’s peace for our city through the creative, compassionate, and prayerful development of people and communities.

There are many opportunities for our Gospel Communities, families, and individuals to serve at the Joshua Station:

  • Serve a meal - Thursday Night Community Dinner is a weekly Joshua Station tradition where volunteers and families join together for a big family meal.
  • Spruce-a-Room - Help transform a hotel room into a home for a new Joshua Station family. Ideal for groups of volunteers with interior design skills and a passion for making spaces warm and hospitable. Volunteers purchase new or like-new furniture and decor and help paint and decorate the room. Depending on the size, availability, and skill of a volunteer group, a room can be renovated in a weekend or a couple weeks.
  • Tutor a Child - Every school year we partner with Whiz Kids to provide after school tutoring for students living at Joshua Station. Whiz Kids includes one hour of tutoring, followed by an optional 30-minute club time where kids learn about God.
